Prop 65: State Law on Consumer Warning Labels Poses a Threat to Businesses
California's Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide consumer warnings for more than 850 chemicals that a consumer may be exposed to. Proposition 65 does not prohibit the exposure; it requires that businesses warn of the exposure. This has become a problem for many manufacturers who are not aware that the law may apply to their products.
